Our client is looking for an experienced, director level, Head of HR to ensure that all human resource operations are carried out smoothly and effectively. Â You will be responsible for developing HR strategies and providing sound, expert advice to the senior leadership team.
As the fourth largest practice in the UK, the business is now in its 30th year with 500 employees, having doubled in size since 2012. The last two years have seen an increase in income of around 25%, the focus is now on stability, consolidation and development growth. Â

To facilitate this period of consolidation, they are looking for an experienced HR leader to put in place people focussed strategies and initiatives to see the practice through the next phase of development.
Key areas of the role are:
- advising the board and senior leaders on HR strategy and people related matters
- leading and implementing HR initiatives across all areas of the business
- leading and managing high level employee relations issues
- producing management information to support and drive improvements
- driving the learning and development strategy
- leading, developing and implementing total reward strategy
To meet this challenging role, you will lead and coach an established HR team ensuring the needs of the business are met. You will support the Directors contributing in regular meetings. It is imperative to have strong problem-solving skills being able to solve both operational and strategic issues with a commercial approach. The role is varied and fast paced so the ability to prioritise competing demands and effectively communicate with stakeholders is key. An understanding of working within a creative industry would be beneficial.
You should be CIPD qualified to Chartered professional level and be able to demonstrate experience in a senior HR role in a business with 300+ staff.
