Warehouse Manager (full-time, permanent)
- Based in Eastleigh, Hampshire
- £28,000 to £32,000, depending on experience
- 8am to 5pm, Monday to Friday, with half hour break. Additional hours will be required from time to time as necessary.
We have an excellent opportunity for a Warehouse Manager to join our busy warehouse and factory team with immediate start.
Skoolkit is a well-respected and growing family run business. We are a leading independent supplier of school wear, with stores in Basingstoke, Eastleigh, Fareham, Havant, Totton and Newbury, and a central distribution warehouse in Eastleigh. Due to our continued growth, we are looking for an experienced Warehouse Manager to be responsible for the smooth process of receipt, storage, picking and dispatching of uniform to our shops and customers.
As a Warehouse Manager, your main focus would be to manage the receiving, warehousing and distribution operations as well as motivating and building the warehouse team which includes training and performance management. You would be responsible for driving operational efficiency and ensuring the quantity of products are of an excellent standard to increase customer satisfaction. Duties also include ensuring the effective and safe use of warehouse equipment and fleet vehicles as well as compliance with all legislation and H&S standards.
The successful candidate will have experience of managing a busy warehouse, excellent understanding of warehouse management procedures, including proficient knowledge of inventory and inventory controls. They will be a strong problem-solver and be highly organised. We are looking for someone who can demonstrate their ability to manage a team and is a hands-on leader who is committed to building a strong team and getting the job done to a high standard. You will also therefore need outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal. Strong IT skills are required to improve processes, accuracy and drive efficiency.
