The new Worker Protection (Amendment of Equality Act 2010) Act 2023 is in force, which means employers have a positive legal obligation to take reasonable steps to protect their workers from sexual harassment.

- Understand what bullying is, harassment and sexual harassment and why it is so important

- What to do if you experience or witness bullying or harassment or it is reported to you
- To have the confidence to safely intervene as a bystander
- How to deal with third party harassment
- Understand what the business will do with reports of bullying or harassment and what will happen if there is reasonable belief this has been committed
- Clarity on what behaviour is expected and appropriate at work, including communication and behaviour at work-related social events
- Create a safe, trusting and positive work culture
- Line managers’ responsibilities, including how to handle reports of harassment, support the alleged victim and the alleged perpetrator, reporting, risk assessments, and any follow-up requirements.
